Firestone Vineyard, Los Olivos, CA
This is Santa Barbara County’s original estate winery, and the views of the picturesque vineyards and mountains are exquisite. There are several wedding venues, and one of the most popular for receptions is The Barrel Room. Here, you and your guests are seated between banks of oak wine casks at one long “feasting table,” under the amber glow of wrought iron chandeliers. The adjacent Barrel Deck, with hundreds of smaller oak barrels, has a redwood tasting bar. The Tasting Room, another indoor venue features redwood interior, Spanish tile floors, wrought iron sconces, and several tasting bars making the site ideal for wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Outdoor venues include the mesa-top Terrace, offering views of the
vineyards, rolling oak-studded hills, and mountain peaks; The Garden,

Foley Estates Winery, Solvang, CA
The Foley Estates Winery is situated in the Santa Rita Hills at the base of 240 acres of coastal oak-dotted hillside vineyards. This was once used for thoroughbred horses, and the former stable has classic California architecture and elegant, graceful lines. The renovated stalls now house gleaming stainless steel tanks and rows of oak barrels.
Wedding sites include the Barrel Room, with beamed wooden ceilings, that fills with the aroma of over 1,000 French oak barrels and fine aging wine. The Archway, with twelve-foot wooden doors opening out to vineyard vistas, makes an exquisite frame for your ceremony.
The Tasting Room, offers a 3,500 square foot space next to the iconic winery building, and the adjacent Great Lawn, with tenting required, provides you an additional expansive, lushly-landscaped space.

Lincourt Vineyards, Santa Ynez Valley, CA
This 30-acre Santa Ynez Valley estate and winery was once a dairy farm, and the old buildings have been put to excellent use. The former farmhouse, a 1926 Sears Craftsman kit house, is now a tasting room, and the barns are now cellars and barrel rooms.
There are several wedding venues, including the North Lawn with its array of colorful flowers and coastal oaks, overlooking Lincourt’s Alamo Pintado Vineyard. The Verandah and Verandah Garden, under flowing California pepper trees, overlook the vineyard, with Santa Ynez mountain views. This area is popular for cocktail receptions, dancing, or small receptions.
The Barrel Room, once the cattle barn, is lined with French oak barrels and has antique chandeliers. This intimate space is ideal for a dinner party or for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The Barrel Staging Area is an exquisite site for dinning and dancing under stars.

#16 COMFORTABLE RECEPTIONS
Reception spaces are taking on a comfort
theme nowadays. Rather than using cocktail tables alone, couples are
creating a lounge effect in their reception areas by adding cozy
furniture groupings of sofas and coffee tables, along with tenting and
draping, lamps and lanterns, lit up trees and dozens of candles. You
may want to hire a jazz quartet or flamenco trio to create a sultry
ambiance. Some couples are even hiring cigar rollers! You can also
use this set-up outdoors for a living room beneath the stars!

#21 LA FLEUR TABLE
Cover your entire table top with a single bold color of petals. Not
just a scattering, but the entire top of the table with a thick layer
of petals! You can purchase them at a farmers market or order them
through your florist. Place your chargers, place settings, glassware
and centerpieces in a contrasting color and lots of candles directly
onto the petals for a stunning, romantic look!

# 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate? You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them. You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy. Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away. Jill La Fleur, The Wedding Planner
