Langham Huntington, Pasadena CA
The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa has been a Pasadena landmark since 1907 when it was the Hotel Wentworth. In 1911, tycoon Henry Huntington purchased and renamed it, and soon writers, entertainers, and politicians were enjoying the Huntington’s many resources. Those resources include many wedding venues, and you will enjoy them, too.
Step across the crimson bridge into the Japanese Garden, a favorite site. This space’s pools and waterfall are authentically Japanese. Another area, Horseshoe Garden, overlooks the hotel’s 23 acres and offers mountain views.
For an indoor affair, the Huntington Ballroom is grand, for up to 1,400 guests. Its design is elegant, with rich adornments, and three adjoining salons close off for smaller functions. The Georgian Ballroom, once the music room, features antique stained glass windows, Chippendale-style furnishings, and original mid-seventeenth century oils.
Ask about Clara Vista Mansion, too. This 1930’s Spanish home with four bedrooms and suites is the perfect bridal party accommodation.
