Hotel del Coronado, Coronado, CA
The first wedding celebrated at this glamorous resort was in 1887, and today the Victorian storybook castle at water’s edge remains one of the world’s premier wedding venues. Recently hailed by the “Travel Channel” as number one resort in the United States (number two worldwide!), the Hotel del Coronado offers you any type of wedding you could envision. If your dream includes a large traditional event for up to 700 guests, the Ballroom with its crystal chandeliers, tapestry draperies, and panoramic ocean views is an excellent choice. The Crown Room, for up to 450 guests, is steeped in history with richly paneled ceiling, elegant wall coverings, and famous crown-shaped chandeliers. For a smaller gathering, up to 350, ask about the lush Garden Patio situated mid-resort. Or, choose a beachside wedding on the del Coronado’s expansive Windsor Lawn.
The Hotel del Coronado is just beginning its 130th year of wedding celebrations, and your wedding can be part of that grand ongoing celebration too!

Ka’anapalie Beach Hotel, Maui, HI
Maui’s Ka’anapalie Beach Hotel has been called the area’s ‘most Hawaiian’ hotel, and it’s a top destination wedding location too. At this venue with miles of white sand, rooms with private lanais, and lush tropical courtyards, you’ll be surrounded by native tradition. Ask the on-site planner about the ocean-front Hawaiian weddings, with ukulele serenades and fresh flower leis.
Guest activities begin with the Ohana Welcome Breakfast. You’re off for hula lessons, or maybe a class in making a haku flower lei, a ti-leaf skirt, or a lauhala weaving. Join in cultural walks to explore native foods and medicinal plants, and of course, get in on the snorkeling, diving, and boogie boarding too.
At night you’ll enjoy sunset torch-lighting ceremonies, the Tiki Terrace Courtyard hula show, and a catamaran cocktail hour sail.
Far too soon, it will be time for the Farewell Lei Ceremony, and you and your guests will find it hard to say aloha to the Ka’anapalie Beach Hotel.

Casa del Mar, Santa Monica, CA
At Santa Monica Bay, positioned directly on the sand, Casa del Mar rules the beachfront. This hotel has come full circle from its beginnings as a prestigious beach club/hotel in 1926, to a World War II military hotel, to a 1970’s longevity center, then, again, in 1999, a prestigious hotel offering a most sophisticated European experience.
When reopened, Casa del Mar was restored in its 1920’s tradition with soft lighting, rich fabrics, and fruitwood furnishings.
The several wedding venues include the ornate Colonnade Ballroom with Venetian Glass chandeliers, vaulted ceiling, and the “wall of glass” for ocean gazing. A smaller venue, The Library off the Lobby Lounge, is comfortable with shelves of books and plush chairs for the intimate wedding of up to 30 guests.
Casa del Mar is adjacent to the historic Santa Monica Pier, the famous Third Street Promenade, the gardens, walkways, and expansive ocean panoramas of picturesque Palisades Park.

HAWKS CAY, Florida Keys, FL
If your dreams include a private island wedding, please investigate Hawks Cay, a resort on its own island, Duck Key. Its history dates to the 1770s, as noted in the logs of Spanish adventurers and shipwreck-salvagers, but it was in the 1950s that Duck Key, won in a golf game, was established as a tropical resort.
Hawks Cay offers numerous wedding and reception venues including the Ballroom, with an oceanfront pre-function space. Outdoors you’ll love the Tranquility Pool and the Lagoon, both providing an exquisite backdrop for your ceremony and waterfront reception. Or, explore the 60-acre private island and pick your own perfect spot!
But if you’re the ultimate privacy seeker, and a private island is still too public for you, ask the Hawks Cay staff to plan a sail-to-wedding on one of Duck Key’s uninhabited islands on a beach you can call your own.
Also, plan a sunset champagne catamaran cruise, arrange a Dolphin Discovery event where guests interact with bottlenose dolphins, then treat guests to sailing lessons in the Colgate Offshore Sailing School™.
