The famous director Mr. Cecil B. DeMille should definitely be called in, because this Your Wedding Day Hollywood Glamour event design is as worthy of a close-up as was any Age of Glamour movie star.

Representing grand entrances made even more dramatic by plunging necklines and beaded purses, white tie and tails, diamonds, sequins, and crystals, designer Linda Pittelli defines the Glamorous Old Hollywood era and her event design as “stunning, lavish, opulent, sexy, timeless, nostalgic, sleek, alluring, and elegant.”

ywd08_hollywoodglam_5.jpg Particular applause goes to her ice bar, which encompasses many of the descriptors above. Linda says. “I pictured Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire standing at an ice bar, having a martini, ready to step out onto a lustrous pearl -cream dance floor.  The small frosted glass illuminated vintage DC3 airplane on the bar is the product of another fantasy. I fantasized that Ingrid Bergman had flown to the party in it, leaving Rick on that infamous airstrip in Casablanca.”

Awards are also in order for the rosewater mirrored vanity. Concerning inspiration for this design element, Linda says she envisioned Eva Gardener “lounging on the fur-lined settee sipping on a glass of the Pink Bubbly.”

And, then there is the blockbuster, top of the charts tabletop! Featuring long- stemmed callas projecting tall from silver-leafed vases; jewel table-accents;  jewel-appointed linens, with even more jewel strands cascading to the floor, this is reminiscent of so many settings where the vintage Hollywood glitterozzi enjoyed vintage Champagnes, exotic liquors, private stashes of caviar, and then for curtain call, a fine Cuban Cohiba.

Who would present this Your Wedding Day Hollywood Glamour event with an Oscar?  The envelope please!  Any couple would, but especially, Linda says, those with an affinity for the most Devastatingly Chic.
