J.K. Capri Place, Capri Italy

Stephanie Pschill (a.k.a. Fawni) is an energetic Austrian pop star and Gil Corber from Israel, is owner of a high-end real estate firm. The blond pair actually met in Los Angeles four years ago and have not spent one day apart. Gil and Fawni consider themselves to be best friends in love.


The Capri di Isola Italy destination of the wedding wasn’t the only dreamy island in Gil and Fawni’s love story.  Gil proposed with a Tiffany’s, 4-carot, diamond ring, on the Black Sand Beach in Hana on the Island of Maui.


Friends and family packed into a small room in the Capri City Hall, located in the center of the Piazzetta. The couple exchanged wedding vows in Italian, which were translated into English. It was a simple ceremony without the frills of fancy bridesmaids or flowers. The focus instead was on the smiles, tears and laughter coming from guests. The bride however donned a Kirstie Kelly gown that she named “Ce-Ce.” Fawni felt her gorgeous gown deserved a name after traveling so far- from L.A. to Zurich to Vienna to Naples and finally to Capri.  The Groom looked handsome and stylish in a Prada suit, accessorized with a sweet smile for his bride. 

From the Piazzetta to the poolside of the J.K. Capri, the sunny duo held a traditional Jewish ceremony where they exchanged vows under the Chuppah. They danced the Hora, where guests lift the bride and groom up on chairs, as they all clapped and danced, while the two families blended into one.

An elegant reception later took place on deck with boat lights reflecting against the Mediterranean Sea. Guests dined exquisitely on fresh seafood pasta and vino, while toasting the bride and groom. Much later in the evening when most guests were nestled in their beds another tradition was played out. Fawni was “hidden” by her bridesmaids and Gil had to rescue his bride. Not until late into the night did the newlyweds find each other, embrace and kiss in the Piazzetta.


To celebrate not just a wedding day, but an entire wedding week,Stefanie, Gil, family and friends participated in various traditions such as wearing dirndls (dresses) and lederhosens (leather shorts and suspenders) which is why it came to no surprise when Italians heard yodeling and dancing the polka coming from the chic J.K. Capri.
