REAL WEDDINGS
The décor had to be flown in, Costa Rican white orchids had to be trekked down the Peninsula, and Roman carried the wedding gown to the lodge on his lap in a tiny plane and then by Land Rover. For lighting in the all-solar region, lanterns were fitted with battery-powered lights, and to supplement an acoustic guitar, a guest was pressed into service as “the iPod DJ extraordinaire!”

The two arranged to meet for a casual date at a coffee house in Westlake Village, but soon discovered that, although they’d never met, they had graduated together ten years earlier. Also, they found that they had mutual friends.
Amy and Jeremy talked and laughed for hours, but because neither one had formed expectations, it wasn’t until several “real” dates had transpired that they realized how perfect they were for each other.

The apples featured in the French country look were even incorporated into the floral arrangements of cymbidium orchids and hypericum berries. A gazebo was decorated with tall arrangements of curly willow and flowers, and the couple stood under an arch made by Thomas’s best man and his brother, which now stands in the couple’s home courtyard.

The winter wedding featured a wintery decor with glass, crystal, and hints of blue, along with white and blue floral arrangements. Francesca’s mother made a crystal tree with more than two thousand dangling crystals. #11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS! Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home. Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

#31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional
centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of
complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if
your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with
dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with
fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

# 6 RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc. Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.
