For Cocoe Voci, the dream began when she was just a child. “As a very young child my imagination soared with the fantasy of the gown. At the time I did not know this would come to mean the bridal gown. As of yet, I had no concept of what that meant. I did know the drama, the richness, and could sense what the feeling might be of creating and wearing, or dressing others, in the most special and significant attire.”

Cocoe’s inspiration is derived from many sources—“Renoir for his celebration of femininity and Degas for his ballerinas.  When I look at a Degas’ ballerinas, there is something so beautiful about his colors, so washed out and so relaxed . . . . In recreating a ballerinesque bridal gown, I focus on the concept of flow and spirit and softness.”

"I use the true couture way – each new design is a process."

There is a particular process Cocoe uses to transform her visions, as if by magic, into her wedding gowns. First, l let ideas float in my mind for months until I have truly put together a vision for my next collection. I absorb, gather, let the ideas float, then I begin to look for the fabrics which will become my canvas.”

The masters who inspire me include designers such as Worth, Lacroix, Dior, and Valentino.”    - Cocoe Voci

Detail is important. That quarter of an inch, that half-inch, makes the difference.”   - Cocoe Voci

Tips
  • #21 LA FLEUR TABLE
Cover your entire table top with a single bold color of petals. Not just a scattering, but the entire top of the table with a thick layer of petals! You can purchase them at a farmers market or order them through your florist. Place your chargers, place settings, glassware and centerpieces in a contrasting color and lots of candles directly onto the petals for a stunning, romantic look!

  • #31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

  • # 6  RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc.  Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.
