Any diamond will carry a romantic message to a beloved bride, but only one will set her heart on fire. A diamond that is so perfectly cut that it has all the classic elements of a diamond’s beauty—brilliance, dispersion and scintillation. A diamond that sparkles like a red-hot fire. A Hearts On Fire diamond.

event & floral design by Robert Fountain Event Designs
This summer Robert Fountain of Robert Fountain Event Designs takes us on a journey to that magnificent place where color intersects elegance with his Summer Splendor table design. “My inspiration was the color of the dupioni silk. The richness of the blue just enveloped me,” he explained. “Once I saw the linen then all the other elements fell into place. My direction to Wildflower Linens was to think ‘couture gown.’ I wanted the materials to be equal to those of a dressmaker.”
With the choice of soft pale blue creating a calm and serene sentiment which evokes a welcoming feeling, Robert introduced the second color. “The contrast of the orange was very unexpected and exciting. I wanted to make sure that the orange in the overlay kept its statement, but didn’t become the overriding color. If too much orange had been used it could have turned very Halloween. I feel the right amount kept it very rich and elegant.” To accomplish this successfully, all the oranges were in different shades to give the design a very established and grounded look. “If they had all been the same orange, then it would have looked very manufactured and new,” Robert said.
Robert added that when he’s designing, his subconscious voice is always asking whether all the elements combine well together. “You can’t look at an element and think that doesn’t belong there. I was very careful to make sure that nothing was overpowered.” In his execution of the table setting, his initial selection was clear glass. However, as his design progressed, a serendipitous “accident” occurred, “I had clear glass on the table and had the silver charger in my hand and just happened to lay it down and realized it worked much better. The orange was too harsh and expected. The silver was definitely the right choice.”
The final dramatic design element was the chair. “I love the chair covers. They remind me of a beautiful ruffled evening gown. The way the fabric gathers and falls is stunning, and the addition of the crystal beads and drapes gives just enough sparkle to take it over the top. The parrot tulips complete the look by tying in the beautiful orange hues.”

#21 LA FLEUR TABLE
Cover your entire table top with a single bold color of petals. Not
just a scattering, but the entire top of the table with a thick layer
of petals! You can purchase them at a farmers market or order them
through your florist. Place your chargers, place settings, glassware
and centerpieces in a contrasting color and lots of candles directly
onto the petals for a stunning, romantic look!

#26 MARRYING MINDFULLY
Creating the “perfect wedding” can easily overshadow what is really
important about getting married—creating a sacred and lifelong bond
with your beloved. Your wedding is not a “to-do” list. Take time to
tend to your relationship and to yourselves so that you enter into the
celebration relaxed, joyful, and with a full heart.

#31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional
centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of
complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if
your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with
dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with
fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!
