YWD is a destination wedding and lifestyle magazine and online publication. With engaging editorial, stunning photography, compelling graphics, and contributions by the industry’s finest, YWD provides our discriminating readers—brides and grooms, their parents, and their wedding professionals—with innovative and elegant ideas as well as a full complement of resources to make their wedding day a stylish occasion.

With a low advertising ratio—over 60 percent editorial—YWD’s pages are a visual feast and the best reading to be found among wedding publications. Published twice annually since 2003—each issue presented with two distinct seasonal covers—YWD explores the wedding traditions through feature articles of a unique expression. Our writers explore new trends and ideas in bridal fashion, wedding venues, event design, catering, cake artistry, floral design, invitations and stationery, hair and makeup, photography, filmmaking, gift registry, rehearsal dinners, honeymoon locations, life and flair, and much more. Our photographers breathe style into the editorial through bold and unique images, keeping YWD fresh and modern while setting new standards for the bridal industry.

At YWD, we take pride not only in being the eyes and ears of our readers, but in upholding the integrity of the wedding industry by recognizing and supporting a code of ethics and excellence among wedding professionals. We get to know each of our clients, what they aspire to achieve, and how they are inspired. Our quest for excellence is what makes YWD a destination for brides and wedding planners alike. To ensure the best representation of our industry, YWD conducts a personal interview with each potential marketing partner and requires a list of current references comprised of both clients and industry professionals.

Tips
  • #21 LA FLEUR TABLE
Cover your entire table top with a single bold color of petals. Not just a scattering, but the entire top of the table with a thick layer of petals! You can purchase them at a farmers market or order them through your florist. Place your chargers, place settings, glassware and centerpieces in a contrasting color and lots of candles directly onto the petals for a stunning, romantic look!

  • # 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate?  You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them.  You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy.  Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away.

  • #16 COMFORTABLE RECEPTIONS
Reception spaces are taking on a comfort theme nowadays. Rather than using cocktail tables alone, couples are creating a lounge effect in their reception areas by adding cozy furniture groupings of sofas and coffee tables, along with tenting and draping, lamps and lanterns, lit up trees and dozens of candles. You may want to hire a jazz quartet or flamenco trio to create a sultry ambiance.  Some couples are even hiring cigar rollers!  You can also use this set-up outdoors for a living room beneath the stars!
