Voyage of Love....a wedding theme for couples who love to travel! |
We here at YWD just love Lollipop Events & Designs...their design sense is oh-so-refreshing. For this wedding theme, they were inspired to create for the couple who loves to travel, and from the lyrics of Frank Sinatra’s “We’ve got the World on a String.” | | As the girls from Lollipop share, “We wanted to transport guests onto a fine dining cruise ship from the early 1900’s as they traveled to the Orient, to Africa, to Europe and back again by mixing Moroccan goblets, Parisian tabletops, Italian dinnerware, and even Oriental shoji screens for a romantic trip around the globe.” | | How cool are all the details from vintage nautical elements, textiles of damask, ikat, toile, to the graphic details representing globes and portholes! The ceremony features sky blue wooden chairs, wreaths of baby’s breath and velvet ribbon, and white baroque French loveseats. For the seating cards and table cards, they designed this around famous ports of the globe that the couple had visited on their “voyage of love”....a great playful idea for your guests as they navigate to their dining table! | | For the dining table, Lollipop wanted it to feel reminiscent of an old cruise ship with tall candelabras. We love how they created the table linen....silver calligraphy that displayed famous love poems written in French, Spanish, and Italian! And to top it off....the Moroccan goblets had tags tied with “cheers” written in six different languages. | | | Mmmmm-Mmmm-Mmmm.....the beautiful indigo and white 3 tiered cake adorned with Moroccan tiles and vintage travel stamps is simply adorable! And to add that worldly theme, what better than to pair liquors with signature desserts.... Italian Amaretto was paired with Tiramisu wafer cookies, Japanese Yuzushu was served with fortune cookies, and English Hereford Apple Aperitif was paired with English lemon tea cookies, amongst other worldly delights. | | Photographer: Jessica Claire Event Design, Production, Vendor Coordination, Bride & Bridesmaid Styling, Graphic Design: Lollipop Events & Designs Floral Design & Groom Styling: Tam Ashworth for Isari Flower Studio and Stylish Silhouette Hair & Makeup: Vivian Tran, All Made Up Furniture: Fete Accompli Dinnerware, Flatware, Flutes & China: Bloomingdales Gowns: Joan Shum Bridal Groom Suits: Bloomingdales Cake Designer: Erica O’Brien Cake Design Love Quotes Calligraphy Linen: Laura Hooper Calligraphy | |
