Priscilla of Boston Collective - Sat. October 17, 2009 7-9pm
The Priscilla of Boston runway show is the longest of all shows at fashion week and our day ended here at the very glamorous parlor where the runway show was hosted. After our arrival we were escorted to our seats to begin the two hour runway show complete with intermission, champagne, and cookies. We nestled in as the show got underway.
Melissa Sweet
First designer to appear in the Priscilla of Boston collective was Melissa Sweet, where we viewed chic wedding dresses of pure sophistication and a touch of romance. As each model glided down the runway, you could feel this collection had a purpose -- to make sure it was all about modern chic.
Vineyard Collection
As the lights dimmed indicating the next show to begin, The Vineyard collection had an air of sophisticated modern with hourglass dresses that fit the models to perfection.
Jewel by Priscilla of Boston
Jewel the next collection was no surprise to us, a giveaway from the name as models graced the runway with jeweled encrusted ball gown dresses; dropped waists were prevalent and that princess feeling was what this collection created........
Platinum by Priscilla of Boston
Platinum, the last of the shows was all about glamour, and show stopping wraps and shawls.
We also noticed that each designer had brought in a short dress for fun or perhaps as a reception dress. All in all each designer carved out their signature style and the Priscilla of Boston collective was delightful to see.
Sarah Houston is really onto something this season with her very wearable, elegant style savvy bridal designs. What we really loved is the grace, elegance and somewhat glam of Sarah Houston wedding designs. In this 2010 collection we were once again excited to preview the newest collection. The dresses had a sense of glamour, elegance with a romantic twist, all very wearable for the modern bride of today.
Be sure to check back for more hot news from the runway!
