| With Lisa's love for water, and the couple's shared zest for living life to the fullest, Lisa & Steve hired their wedding producer, Joyce Becker of Events of Distinction, to develop a non-traditional “Zensational" water-theme for their wedding. Atop the Westin St Francis Hotel, the stage was set at Victor’s Palace with music flowing from a classical guitar while guests were welcomed by a Blue Cable Car, spiced rum and blue curacao in a martini glass. | | | The tone of the wedding was set with blues and chocolate browns from the invitation, so when guests entered the ceremony, they were surprised with pinks and chocolate browns! A true expression of Lisa & Steve's zestiness! Lisa’s spectacular beaded gown from Amy Kuschel, and the chocolate silk bridesmaid gowns were perfectly complemented by the beautiful bouquets from Neil Hunt of Hunt Littlefield which splendidly combined the rich color palettes. | | | Lisa and Steve’s favorite bodies of water, Chesapeake Bay, Lake Austin and the Caribbean Sea to name a few, were the names of each of their tables. Wetting the appetites for all, the exceptional and succulent meal was prepared by the award-winning culinary team of the Westin St. Francis. Representing the great state of Texas which is where Steve is from, Steve’s three favorite sauces, BBQ, Spicy, Sweet & Sour, were added to the set of choices. | | The dramatic wedding cake was embellished with Lisa & Steve’s water drop logo, specifically designed by Joyce of Events of Distinction, making the cake cutting ceremony another highlight of the evening. As the dessert stations featuring the couple's favorites: miniature crème brulee, petite carrot cake, petite apple crisp and chocolate covered strawberries provided a sweet ending to a spectacular day. All these sweet delicacies were ingenuously provided by Lisa Kincaid of Fleur de Lisa Cakes. | | | Wedding Consultant: Joyce Becker, Events of Distinction • Photographer: Sherman Chu • Florist: Hunt Littlefield • Ceremony, Reception Site, & Catering: Westin St. Francis • Bridal Salon: Amy Kuschel Bride • Hair Stylist: Helen Raiter • Wedding Cake: Fleur de Lisa Cakes • Invitations: Union Street Papery • Rentals: Classic Party Rentals • Linens: Napa Valley Linens • Lighting: Swank Audio Visual • Entertainment: Martini Straight Up | |
