Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills, CA
Photography by Mike Larson
The recent Greystone Mansion Showcase of Top Interior Designers was the
first such event to include a wedding section. Celebrity Diane
Valentine, guest speaker at the elegant 1928 Tudor-style Beverly Hills
Mansion, introduced couture designer Amal Harakat of Amal of Beverly
Hills. Amal, one of the most talented designers worldwide, is
well-known for her close relationships with her clients and attention
to detail which enables her to insure the perfect fit, perfect look,
and perfect feel.
|
|
Amal was born in Morocco, raised in
Casablanca city, and got her start in design by working in Europe’s
couture houses, especially in Paris, before relocating to the United
States. While attending Fashion School at La Trade Tech, she began
designing theater and commercial costumes for television, film, and
musical events and notables, all expanding her love of couture.
Out of Amal’s experiences grew a devotion to creating a line of
definitive ultra-feminine bridal gowns, and in each gown, she
incorporates a sense of elegance, beauty, and glamour. Her gowns
feature exquisite imported fabrics including chiffon, tulle, and
organza, with dramatic draping, intricate embroidery, and vintage-look
Chantilly lace.
