Wedding 4 Africa From Heart 4 Africa

Photography by TripleCord Photography

Open your heart to benefit orphans in Kenya and win a $35,000 dream wedding

WHO: A wedding is a union between heart and mind, joining two people to each other for eternity. In celebrating this union, it is possible to open your heart to others who are suffering around the globe. Heart 4 Africa, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Nairobi, Kenya’s orphaned children by providing food, clothing, education, medical attention, shelter and a nurturing environment, aims to do just that. Imagine giving whole-heartedly on your special day while still receiving so much in return; Heart4Africa wants to help you win your dream wedding, valued at $35,000, by marrying philanthropic passion with a couple’s first milestone in life.

WHAT: Instead of registering for the usual wedding gifts, why not invite your guests to sponsor a cause that will change the lives of many? The couple that pledges the most donations in their name through Heart 4 Africa’s first annual Wedding 4 Africa contest will not only win their dream Southern California wedding sponsored by the industry’s leading wedding professionals, they will also contribute to housing for Kenya’s needy orphans. Heart 4 Africa vows to provide the children with land on which an orphanage can be built and key self-sustaining services such as farming can be established.

The couples that raise the most funds will receive:

• Wedding, engagement and bridal photography• Two custom enlargements of wedding day images • Full-service video package • Professional DJ • Wedding coordination and design • Custom jewelry • Custom wedding album • Hair and make-up • Custom guest book • Tailored bridal veil • Rehearsal day coordination • Magazine endorsement • Invitation to Heart 4 Africa’s launch party

The winning couple will also be invited to visit the new home built by their (and their guests) generous donations.

“Wedding 4 Africa will strive to bring awareness for the millions of children who are suffering in Africa due to the loss of parents to the AIDS virus,” said Heart 4 Africa founder Annette Biggers.  “In a time of recession America has awakened to discover that living simply so that others may simply live has become a priority and less of an option.”

WHEN: Couples are asked to direct contributors to the Wedding 4 Africa online donation page by April 15, 2010.

HOW: Visit the heart4africa.org and click the Wedding 4 Africa link to fill out the registration form.
