Old World Italy Finds A Home In Los Angeles:
Most brides long for that sophisticated, fantasy wedding, perhaps in a castle or an Italian villa. Realistically, however, it is not always convenient or feasible to travel great distances for your perfect day. The solution is simple. Look no further than the hidden gem nestled in the heart of Hollywood – Taglyan Cultural Complex.
Opened in 2008, the banquet hall is a great deal more than your run of
the mill wedding and event venue. With a convenient combination of Old
World elegance and cutting-edge audiovisual technology, Taglyan
Cultural Complex offers the bride and groom easy sophistication in the
most modern of modes.
Despite being located just steps from the famed intersection Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles,

Taglyan Cultural Complex offers complete privacy. Enter through the massive iron gates housed on a quiet side street and proceed to a formal brick courtyard unlike any in the L.A. area. Dotted with Italian cypress, magnolia and olive trees, the courtyard guards a more formal garden complete with fountains and a white rose garden – an ideal location for any intimate ceremony. Outside locations can easily host up to 150 seated guests or 400 standing guests.
Moving inside, find inlaid Italian marble floors, abundant natural light flitting through stained glass inset windows, a coffered ceiling and faux fireplaces, enabling you to create a cozy atmosphere for guests to mingle.
Perhaps the grandest location on the site is the Main Ballroom, set off by green marble pillars and elaborate cascading crystal chandeliers. Look skyward to find a 5,000 square-foot circular stained glass ceiling, deemed the largest in the world. The immense ceiling can shift colors, thanks to an elaborate lighting system. Choose from a multitude of hues to perfectly accent and compliment your event. The ballroom can seat up to 600, but has capacity for 1,000 standing guests.
The extravagant granite foyer can also be used for smaller events, holding nearly 200 guests while serving as a gorgeous backdrop for a breathtaking entrance.
You’ll find all of the other typical venue amenities here – bridal suite, groom’s room, private patios, on-site parking and valet – but each done in a lavishness and sophistication that has to truly be seen to believe.
To add to the Taglyan Cultural Complex’s many amenities, the turnkey services provided include everything you could need to plan and host your special day – from gourmet chefs whose culinary standards reflect the most discerning palettes (and prepared in a top-of-the-line kitchen), to professional staff, florists, photographers and even entertainment. The Taglyan can handle it from beginning to end.

#26 MARRYING MINDFULLY
Creating the “perfect wedding” can easily overshadow what is really
important about getting married—creating a sacred and lifelong bond
with your beloved. Your wedding is not a “to-do” list. Take time to
tend to your relationship and to yourselves so that you enter into the
celebration relaxed, joyful, and with a full heart.

# 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate? You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them. You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy. Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away. Jill La Fleur, The Wedding Planner

#21 LA FLEUR TABLE
Cover your entire table top with a single bold color of petals. Not
just a scattering, but the entire top of the table with a thick layer
of petals! You can purchase them at a farmers market or order them
through your florist. Place your chargers, place settings, glassware
and centerpieces in a contrasting color and lots of candles directly
onto the petals for a stunning, romantic look!
