Hotel Vitale is a visual feast for the eyes and a treat for the senses.
Ambiance and comfort were absolutely taken into consideration when
designing this luxurious haven situated along the Embarcadero
waterfront, conveniently in walking distance from the San Francisco
Ferry Market building and the San Francisco Bay. This new
landmark-boutique hotel, designed by Heller Manus Architects, has a
modern interior style created by San Francisco’s McCartan Design.
Imagine reclaimed wood and river stones mixed with sleek minimalism
combined with a contemporary, but warm design that encompasses luxury,
refinement, while maintaining a relaxed vibe. With sultry lighting, and
fresh lavender wafting through the air, this is a place you will want
to experience. Nothing was created accidentally—everything has
intention—from the swanky circular bar downstairs to the terraces on
the upper floors; this venue makes for a chic setting for weddings and
special events.
The splendor of Hotel Vitale continues not only in the visual aspect,
but also throughout their hospitality and services—the hotel’s event
team will create a personalized, unique wedding celebration customized
to meet each individual style and personality.

With their caring staff
to assists with guest arrival, transportation, and accommodations for
the bridal party, as well as for the bride and groom, couples can get married at a choice of four beautiful places within the hotel. For the first three outdoor settings, all of which can be tented, there is the Plaza Terrace with a capacity of 80, the Landmark Terrace which holds 100, and the Americano Patio with a capacity of 150.
With the overall feeling of serenity and relaxation permeating every space within the hotel, on the first floor, just off the street-level lobby, their indoor ballroom, the Amalfi Coast offers an ultra-stylish backdrop for dinners, receptions, and lounge for up to 100 guests. Formal dining and receptions shine here —imagine brocade linens, Chiavari chairs, and candlelight; and within one of the corners, a fashionable lounge overstuffed with white couches and large potted palms.
Along with these four versatile locations, the hotel has many other magnificent features. Hotel Vitale’s on-site restaurant, Americano, is a circular room at one-end that works well for private cocktail receptions, and provides several options for parties. Tall bamboo and wooden furniture—plus the requisite heat lamps—create an intimate and warm ambiance. When taking the elevator to the hotel’s peaceful upper levels, you’ll enjoy terraces and find spa services that leave you revitalized. The fifth-floor terrace overlooks the Ferry Building and San Francisco Bay, and is an excellent spot for a wedding ceremony, cocktail party, or an intimate seated dinner. The two-tiered terrace on the seventh and eighth floors is also a stellar location to tie-the-knot or host a standing reception. On the hotel’s penthouse level, the Vitale Spa pampers bridal parties in style before—and after—the wedding. Have you ever experienced a tangerine-infused bath a top of a rooftop garden? Bliss awaits you with all the serene spa treatments they offer.
And as you can expect, Hotel Vitale culinary team delivers astounding cuisine too. The staff finds inspiration for their amazing culinary masterpieces by picking the best seasonal ingredients to create a delicious wedding menu. All food and beverage is provided under the direction of Americano’s Executive Chef Paul Arenstam. The menu is seasonally conceptualized and customized for each event. Arenstam’s robust, rooted cuisine is inspired by the Italian tradition of farm-to-table meals, using sustainably grown, local, organic ingredients.
In addition to delectable meals, a bride and groom can expect the hotel to even assists with creating a décor plan to match the personalities of the couple. Friends and family of the couple can relax and celebrate a truly special milestone event in style, and absolute decadence. The most amazing aspect of the hotel is all the panoramic views of the city, the glow of the sunset over the bay, and enjoying food and cocktails on the rooftop terrace. Hotel Vitale is the perfect place for a destination wedding in San Francisco, giving you the feeling of a complete getaway with an urban oasis feel. This boutique hotel is a very decadent and posh location with excellent customer service—you will leave feeling as if you were treated like royalty.

#31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional
centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of
complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if
your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with
dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with
fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

#11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS! Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home. Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

# 6 RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc. Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.
