Fleurs de France is a Wedding floral & Event Design studio owned by
designer Jessica Switala. It is located in the heart of the Sonoma /
Napa Wine Country, exclusively catering to many of the wonderful venues
in the area, and designing weddings for local and destination wedding
couples who marry in the Wine Country. Jessica works with her team from
a studio, nestled on several tranquil acres, surrounded by vineyards.
She started her business 27 years ago with a modest flower stand and
has since grown into a well known company. Fleurs de France is honored
to be included on many of the prestigious vendor referral lists of
Sonoma & Napa Wine Country. They have earned this through years of
consistent high quality design and service, paired with flawless
execution.

versatile style, she is an expert in a multiplicity of design
techniques and styles Whether your event is small and intimate or
lavish, modern or whimsical, sophisticated elegance or a romantic
garden look— Fleurs de France will bring your vision to fruition making

Jessica is inspired by many things that help her create abundantly lush arrangements, but notes that “inspirations come from the endless colors and textures of floral and other textural elements available.” “I feel fortunate and extremely privileged to do what I love— create art and beauty with flowers, and being part of designing a very special day.” I have found a way to channel my passion for flowers, colors and textures into an art form.”
“Creating floral arrangements for weddings is an honor. “I am inspired by my brides, their vision, and their enthousiasm of letting me “create” for them… it is contagious.” Each wedding or event offers new and exciting possibilities, and everyone’s vision of their day is different—that is what keeps things exciting for us at Fleurs de France,” she noted, adding “Every detail is important— each bouquet, boutonnière and centerpiece and creation is a piece of art made especially for each event. I am constantly searching for new textures, containers, color combinations, new elements, fabrics, lace and embellishments to enhance our work. I personally handpick every bloom—always looking for the extraordinary— the perfect elements to add, and I shop personally for each event.”
Fleurs de France creates a multitude of floral arrangements from tabletop, hanging floral pieces, ceremony arbors and chuppahs, to floral garlands, bridal bouquets and cocktail table arrangements. The company is always striving to create new things and has an extensive inventory of props from candelabras to containers, chuppahs, arches and yards of high end fabrics, silver containers, and much more which give flowers a decadent and sophisticated touch. The company’s style ranges from creating textural designs to structural modern or elegantly romantic florals and has access to a very large selection of flowers year-round.
An example of a gorgeous bridal bouquet that Fleurs de France creates is a luxurious mix of garden roses, peonies, and fragrant flowers like hyacinth and freesia. Imagine carrying a divinely scented bouquet down the aisle that not only looks exquisite, but leaves traces of an intoxicatingly beautiful scent through the air.
Fleurs de France offers experience and Jessica notes, “I am really easy to work with—relaxed yet extremely detail oriented and professional and our execution is flawless.” I offer you our experience of what works best at the various sites, and will help create the day you envision.” The company takes pride in installation and delivery and with mottos such as: “timing & staffing is everything” and “we give white glove service,” We will always go the extra mile and make sure everything’s perfect before we leave the wedding.”
Fleurs de France serves exclusively the Northern California Wine Country of the Sonoma and Napa region. They are a full service wedding florist and event floral design studio specializing in destination weddings in the Wine Country, and they work with couples who are local and worldwide.

#16 COMFORTABLE RECEPTIONS
Reception spaces are taking on a comfort
theme nowadays. Rather than using cocktail tables alone, couples are
creating a lounge effect in their reception areas by adding cozy
furniture groupings of sofas and coffee tables, along with tenting and
draping, lamps and lanterns, lit up trees and dozens of candles. You
may want to hire a jazz quartet or flamenco trio to create a sultry
ambiance. Some couples are even hiring cigar rollers! You can also
use this set-up outdoors for a living room beneath the stars!

#11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS! Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home. Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

# 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate? You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them. You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy. Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away. Jill La Fleur, The Wedding Planner
