Fancy That!  Timeless with Christine

A self proclaimed “lover of details,” Christine creates for each client a cohesive, unique theme, so that each detail of the wedding, from the save the date cards to the dress to the reception, flows seamlessly together, exuding style and sophistication.
Christine’s goal is to create a wedding that completely expresses the personalities of the bride and groom. Meeting with Christine at her one-stop wedding showroom, conveniently located in Burbank, California, clients are able not only to discuss their ideas, but are inspired by actual examples of stationary, fabrics, table designs, and much more. More than just the clients aesthetic design desires, Christine takes the time to truly understand her clients’ cultural needs. Many of her weddings have a rich cultural background, for which Christine creates modernized, yet still traditional, events. Her chief concern in planning a wedding is to create a timeless design that, though engaging with changing trends, will stand the test of time.

Fancy That! offers complete event design and management, from choosing a color scheme to coordinating the wedding day. From the initial meeting, they research venues, vendors, and design options the will help make the clients vision a reality. They oversee everything, making sure the wedding planning stays on budget and on time. On the wedding day, you are in good hands, knowing that Fancy That! will be there from the time the first vendor sets up until he last guest leaves. Nothing is left to chance, following the wisdom of Christine’s motto: “Unforgettable events are not coincidence…they are the result of the delicate art of planning.”

Fancy That! “Day Of Coordination” package also offers peace of mind for those brides who are planning their weddings themselves. Meeting with brides a month before the wedding, Christine will become acquainted with your plans, make sure everything is on track, and provide full, on-site coordination on your wedding day.

In the art of planning, Christine is a true master, consistently creating stunningly beautiful weddings, whether she’s planning “opulent and dramatic grand affairs” or “soft, simple, and classy” events. Her inspired designs and astonishing skills have recently been recognized with a nomination for a 2010 Special Events Gala award. Though based in Southern California, Christine’s services are available for destination weddings world-wide. You can stay connected with Christine via her informative website, or follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and her recently-launched blog. If you are looking for a wedding planner to take your dreams and create a lavish, sophisticated, and timeless event, Christine and Fancy That! are a top choice.

Tips
  • #11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS!  Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home.  Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

  • # 6  RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc.  Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.

  • # 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate?  You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them.  You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy.  Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away.
