Chameleon Chair Collection

What do you get when you have innovative thinkers putting their minds together?  The answer to this riddle is the Chameleon! No, not that chameleon, of course, but rather the Chameleon Chair® Collection, which, like the cute little lizard, these chairs are versatile by nature and are able to adapt to their surroundings with a sense of flair and consciousness in design.

Chameleon Chairs began in the minds of Teri Rudin, now Vice President of Development, and Behshad Shokouhi, furniture designer and architect. These two pioneers were amazed at the lack of seating choices available for couples and event planners, so they worked for almost two years, to create the initial Chameleon Chair design.

Today’s Chameleon Chair® Collection owes its inception to trendsetter, Cheryl Cecchetto, President of Sequoia Productions. Teri explains, “It was she who challenged the designers of the original Chameleon Chair to call on its versatility and create the supper club look she envisioned for the Academy Awards® Governors Ball in 2005. Using her inspiration and desire for a hip and edgier chair, a new design evolved and became today’s Chameleon Chair.”

Chameleon Chairs has answered the quandary for diverse seating by developing a broad range of products from a line of metallic chair designs, to an array of softer goods, with fabric choices such as suede, velvet, satin, and leatherette.

Chameleon Chairs offers trendsetting, competitively-priced chairs for the casual to the sophisticated wedding, available in almost any solid, pattern, or texture you could imagine allowing you to be a trendsetter, too, for your wedding day.

When we asked what maintains their motivation and inspiration, Teri shared, “fabulously talented people who are a part of the exciting special events industry.” Teri continues, “Their ability to bring to fruition the visions they create is amazing! We take great pride in being a part of this process and offering a product and service that sets us apart from all other chair rental companies.”

They are also inspired by the couples they serve, ““We love hearing about the reaction our clients have as they first walk into their event,” says, Barbara Starler, Vice President of Chameleon. Having served many couples to date, they believe one of the reasons new couples come to them is from previous customers’ enthusiasm, Barbara expands, “Our new customer’s are attracted to Chameleon’s chic design with plush cushions and ergonomic shape, but are consistently pleased by our affordable prices.”

Since 2005, this ingenious company has grown from the original 6, 000 square foot warehouse to their current 23,000 square foot facility in Hawthorne, California (near LAX). They proudly invite visitors to their dramatic showrooms featuring environments that showcase several of their unique, classic, and elegant chair and soft good designs. In addition, the Chameleon Chair® Collection is now available nationally through Classic Party Rental locations in San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, New York and Chicago. If you’ve always imagined a European destination wedding, Chameleon seating can also be found in both London and Dublin. Please contact their Hawthorne Headquarters for further information.

On behalf of Teri, Behshad, Barbara and the entire team at the Chameleon Chair® Collection, they requested us to mention a special thanks to all of their couples and wedding planners who have invited their chairs to add décor and comfort to their special event. And we know that brides and grooms everywhere as well as event designers alike, are also thanking Chameleon Chair® Collection too!

Tips
  • #31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

  • #11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS!  Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home.  Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

  • # 6  RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc.  Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.
