Cameron Ingalls Inc

Cameron Ingalls says he fell in love with photography when traveling through Europe as a teenager. “Upon my return I inherited my grandfather’s camera,” he explains, “and continued to explore my passion for photography.” He took community college class to learn basic black and white photography, during which he learned his passion for photography was also a gift. When his grandfather’s camera began leaking light, which Cameron explains constituted as a “fatal problem” for a 30-year-old film camera; the exploration of photography came to an abrupt end.

Being a “struggling” college student, Cameron abandoned his love for photography and turned all efforts toward completing school. But one day, his fortune turned again. “I came home from school and found a brand new Canon Rebel on my table. The note attached read, ‘God told me to buy this for you. – Love, Chris.’  Cameron says he was confused but grateful, and again, he picked up on his passion.

Engagement Photos

Several years later Cameron was asked to photograph a friend’s wedding. “I took the job very seriously,” he told us. “And filled a fanny pack full of film and batteries and did my best with the Canon Rebel and its stock lens.” Then, Cameron had a “revelation,” a “whisper” of a suggestion that wedding photography was to be his career.  “I dove into the world of wedding photography head first and have never looked back,” he says.

Since then, Cameron, based on California’s Central Coast, has traveled the continent, from the San Francisco Bay Area, to San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, all of Southern California, and even deep into Mexico, pursuing his passion for photographing weddings and people in love.

“Love,” in general, is an important word to Cameron, and he believes that is one reason couples seek out his services.  “Couples comment about the love they feel from looking at the people on my website,” he explains. In fact, we’ve heard that some brides are actually brought to tears when viewing Cameron’s online portfolio. “They can feel the love that overflows from the moments of my client’s engagement or wedding pictures,” he says. “They feel the love in their hearts, leading them into their own marriage commitment. With so many details and planning, couples can temporarily forget why they are doing all of this; my photography reminds people of their amazing love for one another.”

Cameron adds that the one thing that serves as his inspiration is his couples’ love!  “Every wedding is different because every couple is different. I seek to capture the connection that is unique to every couple I photograph through real life images of romance and beauty.”

But he also loves being able to capture “the moment” for those whom he photographs.  “During every shoot I seek to find that enchanted moment when the light is perfect and the love is overflowing between the couple. It is something I look for all the time and am not satisfied until I find it. I love working with people from all walks of life and helping them to become comfortable and fully themselves in front of the camera. I love people, I love marriage, and I love capturing the love, art, and beauty that make up a wedding with my camera.”

Cameron considers his most noteworthy accomplishment to be running a very successful business. “I get to work for myself and serve people with all of my heart. I work with my amazing wife and travel the world meeting new people. It is such a great pleasure to do something creative that brings joy and love to the hearts of those that I serve.“

Cameron Ingalls, Inc. offers fully edited engagement and wedding digital photography as well as Super 8 wedding films, and Cameron says “I am honored every time I am commissioned to capture someone’s love story.  I continually strive to be creative and artistic in the way that I approach each new couple and every wedding.”

  • # 6  RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc.  Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.

  • #31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

  • #26 MARRYING MINDFULLY
Creating the “perfect wedding” can easily overshadow what is really important about getting married—creating a sacred and lifelong bond with your beloved. Your wedding is not a “to-do” list. Take time to tend to your relationship and to yourselves so that you enter into the celebration relaxed, joyful, and with a full heart.
