Ariel Yve Design

Ariel Yve refers to her incredible transition from student to wedding designer as a “fluid, natural evolution,” she shares. So much so, that her journey from studying at the NYC Fashion Institute of Technology to opening Soiree Design Group was serendipitous, “It almost seems as if it were predestined. I had become incredibly inspired and wished to further explore my love of design; design of everything from architecture to textiles as well as graphic design and interior design.  Basically, anything that could possibly be designed.”

During our interview, YWD learned that Ariel’s love for design is most fulfilled through designing weddings, from start to finish.  “I love designing everything from the visual elements to the flow of events; figuring out how to incorporate fantastic, never been-seen-before details, and over the top experiences, making my client’s wedding the talk of the town.”

It is this personal attention that sets Soiree Design Group apart, “It’s my level of involvement in the creative process of planning each event,” explains Ariel.  Although she has a number of employees who work with her, Ariel is always, for every single wedding, the primary designer and coordinator for her couple’s weddings.  “I accept a limited number of clients each year, allowing me to take the time needed to really get to know my client’s personalities, taste and dreams.” She further explains that it is this level of attention which allows her to design and create a wedding that perfectly expresses who the couple truly is.

This is just one of the reason Ariel’s couples choose her, “My clients choose me for my design sense, reputation and ability to execute challenging events, but more importantly, because of my calm and approachable personality,” she said.

With her love of architecture, Ariel is always more than willing to design a custom wedding in any location. “I would absolutely love to expand my business to new areas such as New York, London and Paris. I am in love with classical architecture and would love to be able to create breathtaking experiences for my clients in the most romantic environments in existence.” With national and international weddings on the horizon, Soiree Design Group presently specializes in the expansive region of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, all the way to San Francisco. “I provide personalized full service wedding design and coordination for chic, trend-setting brides from all over the world,” she said. “Soiree Design Group will gladly design and coordinate weddings regionally, nationally and even internationally. We will go as far as our client’s imagination can take us.”

In creating a reality out of her client’s dreams, Ariel has fulfilled several of her own dreams, too. Ariel is a recurring contributing writer for Your Wedding Day magazine which many of her articles can be viewed online today. Her work has also been featured in other nationally published magazines, WE TV’s hit series, “Platinum Weddings,” and there is a good possibly her work will appear soon in an MTV wedding special.

Ariel’s cherished realization comes from her couples, she shares, “I love seeing my bride’s face when they see their wedding environment for the first time on the day of their wedding. Just sharing this moment with them, when they realize that all of their dreams have come true, is when all of my dreams have come true, too.”

Tips
  • # 1 - LOUNGING ANYWHERE
Wonder what to do to a resort ballroom to make it more interesting and intimate?  You can create individual lounge areas by renting tents of sheer flowing fabric and adding sofas and coffee tables with lots of candlelight in them.  You’ve suddenly created that romantic lounge atmosphere in a standard ballroom and given it more intimacy.  Your guests can move to different “rooms” during the cocktails hour or or they can dance the night away.

  • # 6  RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc.  Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.

  • #26 MARRYING MINDFULLY
Creating the “perfect wedding” can easily overshadow what is really important about getting married—creating a sacred and lifelong bond with your beloved. Your wedding is not a “to-do” list. Take time to tend to your relationship and to yourselves so that you enter into the celebration relaxed, joyful, and with a full heart.
