Any diamond will carry a romantic message to a beloved bride, but only one will set her heart on fire. A diamond that is so perfectly cut that it has all the classic elements of a diamond’s beauty—brilliance, dispersion and scintillation. A diamond that sparkles like a red-hot fire. Sasha Ablitt, a Wedding Gown Specialist, is a master of the wedding
attire cleaning and preservation business! You will have no concern
when bringing your fine clothing to this professional establishment.
They offer the best, most comprehensive care for your items.
Sasha told YWD that a very legitimate concern of the prospective bride
is that an unprofessional or untrained cleaner can ruin your gorgeous
wedding gown. Sasha said, “All drycleaners are not created equal.

Gowns, Christening Gowns, Quincenera or that very special party gown, it pays to find a cleaner that cares as much as you do. Once in a while, we get a frantic bride,” she explained. “one who went to a cleaners thinking that all cleaners are the same.” Fortunately, Ablitt Fine Cleaners has always been able to correct the problems created by a less proficient party.
Sasha has ample training because her family has been in the business of drycleaning for four generations. This training is important for several reasons. First, Sasha said you should know that although your gown may have a “dryclean only” label, much of the ornamentation used on bridal gowns will melt or dissolve during regular drycleaning. Also, she said to let you know that certain stains, including perspiration, grass and ground in dirt on the hem, red wine, makeup, and that delicious frosting from your beautiful wedding cake will not come out with traditional drycleaning alone. “These always take additional work and skill to remove,” Sasha said. She and her staff have the exact technique and science understood in keeping your finest in absolute condition of exhibit. They are constantly studying and learning about the latest materials and care of the wedding gown both before and after the wedding.
You may wonder what a cleaner can do for your wedding gown before the wedding. Plenty! Even if your gown is professionally prepared, just the process of fittings and alterations can leave your new dress soiled. Sasha explains, “A professional finish makes the gown look straight from a story book. And don’t forget the Veil! People don’t realize how much better tulle looks after just a little steam.” For added assistance, Ablitt Cleaners will store your gown for you and deliver it to your selected venue, whether it’s a private home, a church, hotel, or outdoor venue on your special day.
After your wedding, Sasha can make your gown look almost new and again, and store it for you. Sasha shared her storage technique with us. “I use high quality acid free tissue, washed unbleached cotton muslin, and an acid-free and lignin-free storage chest,” she explained. “The storage chest is stored in a muslin bag that is also designed to filter out any dust. These are the same materials museums use for preserving priceless textiles,” Sasha said. Definitely not something you want to try yourself! Also, you probably wouldn’t want to tackle folding your gown for storage either. “Just folding a gown takes me 45 minutes,” Sasha explained. And she’s had years of practice!
We’ve mentioned bringing your gown to this Southern California business. Please know that even though you may live elsewhere, this doesn’t mean you can’t make use of Albitt’s services. If yours isn’t a Santa Barbara destination wedding, mail your dress. Sasha explained, “We frequently receive wedding gowns via UPS, often directly from a bridal salon or tailor.”
So no matter the destination, you’ll want to include Ablitt’s Fine Cleaners in your wedding gown plans.

#11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS! Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home. Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”

#16 COMFORTABLE RECEPTIONS
Reception spaces are taking on a comfort
theme nowadays. Rather than using cocktail tables alone, couples are
creating a lounge effect in their reception areas by adding cozy
furniture groupings of sofas and coffee tables, along with tenting and
draping, lamps and lanterns, lit up trees and dozens of candles. You
may want to hire a jazz quartet or flamenco trio to create a sultry
ambiance. Some couples are even hiring cigar rollers! You can also
use this set-up outdoors for a living room beneath the stars!
