Sasha shared her storage technique with us. “I use high quality acid free tissue, washed unbleached cotton muslin, and an acid-free and lignin-free storage chest,” she explained. “The storage chest is stored in a muslin bag that is also designed to filter out any dust. These are the same materials museums use for preserving priceless textiles,” Sasha said. Definitely not something you want to try yourself! Also, you probably wouldn’t want to tackle folding your gown for storage either. “Just folding a gown takes me 45 minutes,” Sasha explained. And she’s had years of practice!
