Any diamond will carry a romantic message to a beloved bride, but only one will set her heart on fire. A diamond that is so perfectly cut that it has all the classic elements of a diamond’s beauty—brilliance, dispersion and scintillation. A diamond that sparkles like a red-hot fire. A Hearts On Fire diamond.

Mama. Don’t Take My Kodachrome Away |
Nearly every celebrity wedding is shot in either super 8 or 16mm film
instead of high-definition video or 3-chip digital media. Why? One
good reason, in my opinion: Film looks better. Plain and simple. If you can tell the difference between a motion picture and a
television soap opera, in terms of photographic quality, or if you can
distinguish good silk flowers from real flowers, then film is for you.
No matter how “real” a silk bouquet will look, it will not have the
life or the smell of real flowers.

The apples featured in the French country look were even incorporated into the floral arrangements of cymbidium orchids and hypericum berries. A gazebo was decorated with tall arrangements of curly willow and flowers, and the couple stood under an arch made by Thomas’s best man and his brother, which now stands in the couple’s home courtyard.

The reception dinner, catered by the Ojai Valley Inn, included lobster ravioli, apple cider salad, and chicken galantine, a chef’s vegetarian entrée, or grilled filet mignon of beef served with potato-parsnip pancakes. A signature drink, the “Pink Moment Martini,” was created to honor Ojai’s famed “pink moment,” when the setting sun casts a rosy glow on the surrounding mountaintops.

After five years, Wilson proposed. “We both enjoy traveling,” he says, “so I wanted to make the proposal place a special destination, without being in a very public or crowded area.” He chose to pop the question in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, on limestone cliffs overlooking the ocean at sunset. Stacey didn’t expect the proposal at all, for she didn’t even know that Wilson had purchased a ring.

The Academy Awards went green in 2007, a powerful statement in response to the global concern over the depletion of our natural resources. We have adjusted our daily habits to protect our environment, and we can do the same on the most important day of our lives by taking our wedding to that next level in eco-consciousness. With such lavish splendor celebrated in one weekend, we can reduce the effect weddings have on our planet and astonishingly, change doesn’t have to be difficult; there are many shades of green.

# 6 RECIPES FOR FAVORS
Gather together the favorite recipes that you remember as a child. They could be special family recipes, holiday menus, etc. Have them bound in small books, affix a wedding label on the front with your monogram and date that you were married. And there you have it, a unique favor that your guests will use again and again. Also, it is a wonderful way to acknowledge grandmothers and mothers.

#31 FLORAL DECOR
No wedding is complete without flowers. Try updating the traditional
centerpiece by using masses of your favorite flowers in a variety of
complementary tones for added texture and interest. For instance, if
your bloom-of-choice is the gerbera daisy, try one centerpiece with
dozens of red gerberas, another with orange, and another with
fuchsia-colored bunches. Let your imagination run wild!

#11 QUICK FIX
Traveling with an emergency kit is like the American Express campaign, “Don’t leave home without it.” It should have everything from panty hose and nail glue to smelling salts and Tums, but the most commonly used item is SAFETY PINS! Although you should have a needle and thread, I have resorted to using safety pins for fixing hems on tuxedos, bustling the brides gown, pinning broken bra straps and creating a veil or headpiece out of tulle when the bride’s was left at home. Safety pins are great for a “quick fix.”
